Next Level Sketch is a collective of comedy sketch writers and performers. We put on regular shows at Hoopla Impro in London Bridge, and sometimes perform elsewhere too when we remember where we’ve put our network railcards.
Next Level Sketch is overseen by five producers - think of us as like the incompetent robot elders from Futurama, except (hopefully) less incompetent, and also not robots.
James Walsh (He/Him)
James co-founded Next Level Sketch in 2019 with his friend Euan. He is in a band called The Highchurches, puts on a music and comedy night in Brighton called This Machine Kills Wasps, and regularly performs folk tunes with Brighton Folk Choir while dressed as a hog or a fox or something.
James is a recovering journalist who still writes features and reviews, usually adventuring in the world of the alternative arts. You can follow his personal newsletter here:
Rebecca Diez (She/Her)
Rebecca is an international woman of mystery. She used to be in a sketch trio with Paul Creasy and John Dredge called The Three People, but since 2020 she has been a valued member of the Next Level Sketch crew. Diez is often in Spain.
Paul Creasy (He/Him)
As well as writing and performing sketches with Next Level Sketch, sometimes while dressed as Sir Kier Starmer, Paul performs improv to a very high standard with Michelle and The Night of 1000 Chairs.
You can follow his alter-ego, furious centrist columnist Saul Priestly, here:
Cara MacB (They/Them)
Cara is the newest member of the Next Level Sketch producer crew. They are often cast as incompetent gangsters for some reason. You can follow them on Instagram here.
Daniel Smith (He/Him)
Nothing is known about Dan Smith.
