Next Level Sketch are performing at SketchFest 2026 later this month!
And we have some very exciting news about who we've booked for our April show...

Hi everyone!
Sorry for the late newsletter, it’s been bonkers around Next Level Sketch Towers1 of late.
Thanks to everyone who came to our February show. Producer James has done a write-up on his personal blog, but it’s all about him and what he did in the show, so keep a sick bag ready.
Big thanks to everyone who wrote, performed, offered feedback, and showed up for this show. I know I say this a lot, but it really was a frickin’ magical time, and we loved the new sketches from Alice and Luke especially.
Next Level Sketch At SketchFest on 17th and 21st March!
We have had to go without a Hoopla show this month, so we’ve taken advantage of this unexpected freedom to sign up for a couple of Greatest Hits shows at SketchFest 2026, a festival being run by Canal Cafe Theatre, aka the home of the world’s longest running live comedy show2.
Our first show is at Canal Cafe itself in leafy Little Venie on Tuesday 17th March…
… and our second show is at the lovely Hen & Chickens theatre in Islington on Saturday 21st March.
We would be EXCEPTIONALLY EXCITED if you were to come along and laughed at us, supportively.
Cast for 17th March: Cara MacB, Alex Lubetkin, Dan Smith, Josephine Patane, Paul Creasy, and James Walsh.
Cast for 21st March: Annabel Edmonds, Victoria Dry, Manisha Patel, Ben F, Paul Creasy, and James Walsh.
No Sketch Meetings This Month!
Because of SketchOff and the lack of a Hoopla show in March, we’re taking the month off sketch meetings - these will return starting on Wednesday 1st April, aka - sigh - April Fools’ Day. These meetings will be for our April show at Hoopla Impro, which takes place on Wednesday 22nd April. And talking of our April show…
Next Level Sketch returns to Hoopla Impro on Wednesday 22nd April with special guests Julia Masli, Susan Harrison, Jonathan Oldfield, and Jess Carrivick
This is going to be an extra-special show. We’re super excited to be putting on Jess Carrivick, who is a former Next Level Sketch cast member who you might have seen ON THE TELLY of late. She’s a wonderful character comedian and it feels a beautiful full circle moment to have her back with us on the Hoopla stage.
Oh, and the other special guest acts? Only Masli, Harrison, and Oldfield - some of the best to ever to do it, in my opinion.
That’s it from us this week. Sorry it’s quite an admin-heavy email. We’ll back with sketch writing ponderings very soon indeed.
Thanks for reading, and hopefully see you at a show, meeting, or cockney pub before too long.
J (and the other producers) xxx
Of course we all live together, like the Monkees. Only Paul has his own room. The rest of us sleep in hammocks in the basement.
NewsRevue. God knows what they’d make of our Kier Starmer. They’d either kidnap him or kill him, I reckon.
